• Background

Did you know the earliest documented record of cold brew coffee was in Kyoto, Japan in the 1600s? This technique steepens coffee grounds in cold water for an extended period, typically 12-24 hours. It produces a smooth, sweet, and less acidic brew, a refreshing choice, especially in warmer weather & tropical climates.

Coffee. Water. and Time. That's all you need to discover the art of cold brew, a refreshingly simple method to awaken your senses. Infuse your ground coffee with cold water, and let this magical blend sit quietly in the cool confines of your refrigerator. Give it eight to twelve hours to mingle and merge, then indulge in the exhilarating rush of crystal-clear, zesty coffee

1) Grind Coffee

Weigh 50 grams of coffee and grind on a coarse setting to brew ~500ml of coffee. For 1L of cold brew, use 80-100g of coffee. The grounds should be about the size of kosher salt. Cold brew is generally a 1:10 ratio of coffee to water, but can range from 1:9 to 1:12, depending on how you like it.

2) Add Coffee

Twist to open filter, then add coffee to bottom compartment. Reattach top of filter. Twist the filter into the top of the bottle.

3) Add Water

Attach filter and top of bottle to glass bottle base. Fill bottle to top square mark with filtered water. Shake gently.

4) Brew

Let brew for 8-12 hours. After 8-12 hours, gently shake to stir the coffee. Remove the filter.

5) Enjoy

Pour over ice. Enjoy delicious cold brew.
