Edo Kiriko

Edo Kiriko (cut glass), are made by takumi level craftsmen, and are considered to be the most famous glass craftwork in Japan. The craft began in 1834 in Edo, the Meiji-era name of Tokyo.

They are made by cutting clear glass layered with colored glass to create intricate patterns. Artisans use specialized tools to intricately etch away parts of the colored layer, revealing the clear glass underneath, often creating geometric or floral patterns that are characteristic of this traditional Japanese craft.

The process requires a high level of precision and artistry, and each piece is usually handcrafted, making them unique.

Perfect for a luxurious coffee or cocktail.
